Kancheepuram is famous for silk sarees and Hindu temples. Every corner you can see a temple. Kancheepuram holds a lot of history.
I was really interested to visit Kanchipuram temple because they are too old and the architecture of the temple is different.
I love history. So, I was really interested to explore Kancheepuram.

From Chennai to Kanchipuram you can either go by bus or train. it is hardly two to three hours of travel. I went by bus to Kanchipuram.
Places to visit in Kanchipuram: When you visit Kanchipuram, you should not miss the Kanchipuram idly. The soft, fluffy balls are enough to wand around the city. You can get that in local hotels. They are tasty and I can easily grab ten idlies.
Kanchipuram famous temples – Ekambareswarar temple, Kailasanadhar temple, Kamatchi temple, Athivarathar temple.

I loved the Kailasanadhar temple architecture. The whole temple designed like caves. The temple was built from 685-705 CE by a Rajasimha ruler of the Pallava Dynasty.


The next place you should visit is Kanchi kudil. Kanchi kudil is a small hut house. This house is 150 years old and they are maintaining the same architect to this date.

Places to visit in Kanchipuram: The house has a small entrance and you will have to be barefoot. The entry Charge is Rs 10 per person.
You get to see old equipment’s, furniture, utensils etc which have been preserved to date.




We went shopping after that. My mom bought a Kanchipuram pattu saree. You can shop in Gandhi Road as you can see many saree shops, accessories all the household items.
Kanchipuram hotels are really cheap Per person they are charging Rs.200 for one night. You can easily get a Hotels near bus stand.
